Cody Schappert

Sophomore, Chemistry

Growing up, math and science always came relatively easily to me, but it wasn’t until late middle school that I realized my passion for science in particular. In high school, this passion narrowed to chemistry and specifically doing lab work. I found doing different experiments to be very interesting, and most times, a lot of fun. I plan to pursue a doctorate at Caltech and work for NASA as a chemist.

Parker Mooney

Senior, Biology

Growing up, I was always interested in problem-solving, which naturally led me toward the sciences. Over time, I found myself especially drawn to biology and the way it explains how life works on both large and small scales. Playing college baseball taught me the value of discipline, persistence, and hard work, lessons that continue to shape my approach to academics and life. I plan to pursue a career as a medical doctor, where I can combine my passion for science with helping others.
