Congratulations to Alex on winning the Student Biomedical Research Acceleration and Innovation Network (S-BRAIN) Award from the National Strategic Research Institute at the University of Nebraska! This competitive award was open to both graduate and undergraduate students of all campuses of the University of Nebraska System. More than 30 applications were submitted, and 2 award winners were announced during the opening ceremonies of the 2024 NSRI Fellows Conference in Lincoln last week. As part of the proposed research under this award, Alex will be working towards developing a multidimensional fluorescent sensor for pathogen-agnostic threat identification.
